Do you believe that you have nothing to be grateful for today? Has everything that could go wrong, gone wrong so far? Before one more breath, you can turn it around to make this day the best day of your life. Take a breath, look around, and find one thing in your view to be grateful for. It doesn’t matter what it is. It could be a glass, a coffee maker, a window. The object itself is unimportant to begin this gratitude overload exercise. Pick your object and say, “I am grateful for that cup.” Now move onto the next object and continue displaying gratitude for everything you lay your eyes upon. Can you feel yourself becoming lighter? If it feels unnatural at first, it’s because appreciation for the small things in your life has been missing. But, that’s all about to change. The moment you begin to express gratitude for everything, is the moment you expand your heart. Saying thank you to all things, experiences, people, will move you beyond the ordinary to the vastness of your life. Sounds a little too cheery and unrealistic? Try it for a day. An hour. Let gratitude become your daily exercise. Let thank you be your mantra. Thank you for listening!
